Quick answers for using Happyly. Type a question in the search bar below, or browse by topic.
Tracking & logging
Sleep, feeds, pumps, diapers, growth, milestones — how to log, edit, and undo.
How do I edit or delete a logged event?
Tap the event on Activity Tracker. The edit screen opens — change start, end, notes, or tap Delete at the bottom.
How do I log a diaper change?
Tap Diaper on the menu on the right and pick wet, dirty, or both. Or tell Happyly — "just a wet one" works in chat.
How do I log a feed or pump session?
Tap Feed or Pump on the menu on the right, or tell Happyly in chat ("just nursed for 20 minutes"). Both work for in-progress sessions — start now, end when done.
How do I log a sleep or nap?
Tap Fell Asleep on the menu on the right when the nap starts, then Woke Up when it ends. Or just tell Happyly in chat — "she napped from 1 to 2:30" works. Both end up in the same place.
Sleep
The Rhythm Guide, sleep sounds, wake windows, and the right-hand menu's quick-log.
How do I play sleep sounds?
Open Sleep Sounds in the menu on the left, or tap the speaker icon in the menu on the right. Pick up to three sounds at once, set a sleep timer, and save your favourite mix as a preset.
What is "What's Next" and how does it work?
What's Next is Happyly's prediction of your child's next sleep window — open it from the pulsing icon in the menu on the right. It shows a time range (never an exact time), the sleepy cues to watch for, and how confident the prediction is.
Where is the Rhythm Guide and how do I refresh it?
Tap Rhythm Guide in the menu on the left (browser) or the Rhythm tab at the bottom (mobile app). Your first one is built automatically when you sign up — to update it later, tap Refresh at the top of the page or just tell Happyly in chat what's changed.
Feeding & milk stash
Feed and pump logging, and Milk Stash — the freezer / fridge inventory.
Family
Adding children, switching between them, sharing with co-parents, grandparents, and sitters.
How do I add a co-parent or guest?
My Account → Guests → Add a guest. Enter their email and pick which permissions they get — tracker, plan, growth, milestones, and so on. They'll get a sign-in link.
How do I log a growth measurement?
Family → child → Growth → Add a measurement. Or tell Happyly — "weight 7.4kg, length 65cm at today's check-up" works in one go.
How do I log a medication dose?
Family → child → Medications → Log a dose. Happyly is a logger — it never advises a dose. Dosing questions go to your pediatrician or pharmacist; Happyly records what you gave once it's settled.
How do I log a milestone or first?
Family → child → Moments → Add a moment. Or tell Happyly in chat — "first laugh today" or "sat up unassisted." Add a photo from the same screen if you want.
How do I log a vaccine?
Family → child → Vaccines. Tap a vaccine and mark it given. Happyly records what your child has had — never advises whether or when to vaccinate. That conversation belongs with your pediatrician.
How do I remove or edit a guest?
My Account → Guests → tap the guest. Change their permissions or tap Remove. Removal is immediate and revokes access — their account isn't deleted, but they lose all access to your data.
How do I share the Rhythm Guide with a partner or sitter?
Open the Rhythm Guide and tap Share, or go to My Account → Sharing. Happyly creates a public link anyone with the URL can view — no Happyly account needed.
How do I switch between children?
Tap the child's name button at the top of Chat, Insights, or Rhythm Guide. Or tell Happyly "switch to {childName}." Every screen — tracker, plan, insights — updates to that child.
How do I tell my partner "I've got it now"?
Look for the small avatar stack next to your child's name button — there's a one-tap button under it labelled I'm on when no-one's on duty, Take over when your co-parent is, or Hand off when you are. Tap to switch. Or just tell Happyly "I'm on now."
Account & preferences
Themes, units, voice, chat style, and profile.
How do I change my password?
Sign out and tap Forgot password on the sign-in page. Happyly emails you a one-tap link that lets you set a new password. There's no in-app "change password" form — that's deliberate, for security.
How do I change units (kg / lb, °C / °F, ml / oz)?
My Account → Preferences → Units. Set time format, temperature, weight, and length independently. Stored values never change — only the display.
How do I make Happyly more (or less) wordy?
My Account → Preferences → Chat Style. Pick Concise, Normal, or Comprehensive. Or tell Happyly — "be more concise" works in chat.
How do I switch to dark mode?
My Account → Preferences → Theme. Pick Light, Dark, or System (which follows your OS). Or tell Happyly "switch to dark mode" in chat.
Troubleshooting
When something feels stuck — chat, sync, or the mobile app.
I can't sign in — what should I try?
Use the Forgot password link on the sign-in page. Happyly sends a reset email — open it on the same device for a one-tap link back. If the email doesn't arrive within a minute, check your spam folder.
What if Happyly stops responding in chat?
If a reply stalls mid-stream, tap the stop button next to the input. If the screen looks frozen, refresh the page. Your messages stay saved either way — nothing is lost.
What if the mobile app won't load or isn't syncing?
Force-close and reopen the app. If it still won't load, check your internet, then make sure you're signed in to the same email you use on the browser. Most sync issues clear within a minute of reconnecting.
Privacy & data
What Happyly stores, what it never stores, and how to export or delete your data.
How do I export or delete my data?
Activity Tracker → Export for a PDF of tracked events. My Account → Danger Zone for full data download or account deletion.
Who can see my data?
You, anyone you've added as a guest (with the permissions you set), and anyone you've sent a Rhythm Guide share link to. Happyly never sells data, never shows it to advertisers, and never shows it to other parents.
