How do I play sleep sounds?

Open Sleep Sounds in the menu on the left, or tap the speaker icon in the menu on the right. Pick up to three sounds at once, set a sleep timer, and save your favourite mix as a preset.

Sleep Sounds is Happyly's ambient audio player — eight sounds across nature, household, and comfort categories, with a mixer, a sleep timer, and saveable presets.

Where to find it.

  • Browser: menu on the left → Sleep Sounds, or tap the speaker icon on the menu on the right.
  • Mobile app: tap the speaker icon on the menu on the right.

The eight sounds.

  • Color noises — white, pink, brown (generated in your browser, no download)
  • Nature — rain, ocean
  • Household — fan
  • Comfort — heartbeat, shushing

Mixing up to three sounds.

Tap a sound to add it. Each sound has its own volume slider, plus a master volume at the top. The mixer caps at three so it doesn't turn into noise.

Sleep timer.

Set a duration (15min, 30min, 45min, 1h, 2h, or continuous) plus an optional fade-out (0, 2, 5, or 10 minutes). The timer runs locally — even if you close the tab or lock the phone, the audio fades and stops on schedule.

Saving a favourite mix.

Got a combination that works? Tap Save preset, give it a name ("Bedtime" / "Naptime" / "Car ride"), and it appears in the Quick Start row at the top for one-tap replay. Three default presets ship out of the box — White Noise, Rain + Heartbeat, Ocean Waves.

From chat.

"Play white noise" or "start the rain at 50%" works. Happyly offers a confirmation. "Stop the sounds" ends playback.

Volume jumps when I plug in headphones.

That's your phone or browser switching audio output, not Happyly. Adjust the master volume slider to match.
