How do I change my password?
Sign out and tap Forgot password on the sign-in page. Happyly emails you a one-tap link that lets you set a new password. There's no in-app "change password" form — that's deliberate, for security.
Happyly never lets the app (or the AI coach) change your password directly. The only path is through the email-verified reset flow, which guarantees that whoever sets the new password also has access to the inbox.
The reset flow.
- My Account → Logout (or open a new tab in private / incognito mode).
- On the sign-in page, tap Forgot password.
- Enter your email.
- Open the email Happyly sends (within a minute).
- Tap the link — it routes you to a page where you set the new password.
- Sign back in with the new password.
Why no in-app change.
If the app could change passwords, anyone who got access to your phone or laptop briefly could lock you out. Routing every change through your email inbox means a stolen device alone can't lock you out — they'd also need your email account.
The same applies to the chat.
If you ask Happyly in chat to change your password, it'll politely refuse and point you here. That's intentional — a coach should never have credential-change powers.
Changing your email.
Email changes follow the same email-verified pattern. Email us via Email support below and we'll walk you through verifying both addresses.
