I can't sign in — what should I try?

Use the Forgot password link on the sign-in page. Happyly sends a reset email — open it on the same device for a one-tap link back. If the email doesn't arrive within a minute, check your spam folder.

Happyly uses email-based sign-in. Most sign-in problems are one of three things: a typo in the email, a missed reset email, or being signed out after switching between your phone and your browser.

I forgot my password.

Tap Forgot password on the sign-in page. Enter the email you signed up with. Happyly sends a reset email within a minute. Open the email on the same device you want to sign in on (browser or phone) and tap the link — it logs you in and routes you to a page where you can set a new password.

The reset email never arrived.

  • Check your spam / promotions folder — the sender is `noreply@happyly.app` (or a similar address from the email service we use).
  • Confirm the email you typed matches the one you signed up with — a typo means the reset goes to a different address.
  • Wait two more minutes — sometimes mail providers delay delivery.
  • If it still hasn't arrived, request another reset. The new link replaces the old one.

I get "invalid email or password".

Usually a typo. Check for caps lock, a stray space at the end of the email, or autocorrect adding a period after `.com`. If you're sure the credentials are right but it still fails, use Forgot password to reset.

I was signed in, now I'm not.

Happyly signs you out automatically after long gaps without using the app, or after switching between devices. Just sign in again. Your data is safe; nothing is lost when you sign in fresh.

The sign-in link Happyly emailed me didn't work.

If Happyly invited you via a sign-in link (no password needed), that link expires in 24 hours and only works once. If it doesn't work, use Forgot password to start fresh — Happyly will email a new one.

I'm a guest invited by someone else.

Guests sign in with their own email — never the host's. Make sure you're using the email the host added you under in My Account → Sharing. If you're not sure which email, ask the host to check.
