How do I log a vaccine?

Family → child → Vaccines. Tap a vaccine and mark it given. Happyly records what your child has had — never advises whether or when to vaccinate. That conversation belongs with your pediatrician.

The Vaccines tab lets you record what your child has been given so it's all in one place — handy for school enrollment forms, travel, and switching pediatricians.

Logging a given vaccine.

  1. Family → tap your child → Vaccines.
  2. Find the vaccine on the list.
  3. Tap it and mark it given with the date.
  4. Save.

Status labels.

Each row on the schedule shows one of four labels:

  • Given — your child has had this dose
  • Planned — there's a date you've set for this dose
  • Not planned — you've marked this dose as one you're not giving (for any reason, no judgment)
  • Past due — the recommended age window has passed and the dose hasn't been logged or planned. It's a neutral note, not a warning — never red, never alarming. Whether to catch up is a conversation for your pediatrician.

Happyly never uses words like overdue, missed, skipped, declined, or refused. Schedules vary by family, country, and medical guidance.

Editing or deleting an entry.

Tap the entry. You can fix a typo on the date or remove the entry, but you can't change it to a vaccine your child didn't receive.

Planning a future dose.

Tap a row that isn't yet given and pick a date. The dose flips to Planned with the date showing. You can change or clear the date any time. Use Not planned for a dose you're choosing not to give — it stops the row from prompting you.
