How do I remove or edit a guest?
My Account → Sharing → tap the guest. Change their permissions or tap Remove. Removal is immediate and revokes access — their account isn't deleted, but they lose all access to your data. Removing a guest with Co-parent presence also drops their avatar from your watch chrome.
Guests are people you've granted access to your child's data — co-parents, grandparents, sitters, daycare workers. You can change what they can see, or remove them entirely.

## Editing a guest's permissions
- My Account → Sharing.
- Tap the guest you want to update.
- Turn permissions on or off (grouped by feature):
- - Activity Tracker (view / edit)
- - Rhythm Guide access
- - Insights view
- - Growth (view / edit)
- - Milestones (view / edit)
- - Medications (view / log)
- - Milk Stash (view / edit)
- - Co-parent presence — unlocks the watch chip (see on-duty-handoff). Granting this turns a silent observer into an active co-caregiver who can take, hand off, and accept the watch.
- Save. Changes take effect immediately the next time they refresh.

## What happens when you toggle Co-parent presence
The Co-parent presence permission is what decides whether a guest is a "silent observer" or an "active co-caregiver."
- Granting it — their avatar appears in your watch chrome when they're in the app, the Hand off to {them} option appears in your watch sheet, and they can accept / decline your hand-off requests.
- Revoking it — their avatar disappears from your chrome on their next page load, any watch they currently hold drops automatically, and any pending hand-off request to or from them closes silently.
Use it for partners and regular babysitters. Leave it off for view-only grandparents and daycare workers — they'll still see everything else you granted, but the watch chip stays hidden on their screen.

## From chat
"Remove Sarah from the guests" or "give grandma medication view" works. Happyly offers a confirmation before any change.
---
## Removing a guest
Tap the guest → Remove. The removal is immediate:
- They lose access to all your data — tracker, plan, milestones, medications, milk stash, everything.
- Their avatar drops from your watch chrome and any watch they held is cleared.
- Their Happyly account stays — they signed in with their own email and that account isn't yours to delete.
- Any active share links you sent them stay valid until you revoke them separately (see share-rhythm-guide).
- Re-adding them later restores access from scratch — old permissions aren't remembered.
---
## A guest doesn't see what they should
Most commonly a permission isn't switched on. Open their guest entry and check — adding a permission takes effect on their next refresh.
If permissions look right but they still can't see your data, ask them to check that they're signed in with the email you added them under (a guest with two emails will only see your data when signed in as the one you added).
If they can see everything else but don't show up in your watch chrome, check that Co-parent presence is enabled for them — that's the toggle that brings them into the watch chip flow.
